PURPOSE: A method for controlling the connection of a voice mail box is provided to permit or block the connection of the voice mail box according to the selection of a user. CONSTITUTION: A VMS(Voice Mail System) responds to a password from a mobile communication terminal, transmits an initial menu including a message hearing function and a voice mail box function to the mobile communication terminal, and displays the initial menu(S204). The VMS judges whether a mobile communication terminal subscriber selects the message hearing function menu from the displayed initial menu(S205). If the mobile communication terminal subscriber selects the message hearing function menu, the VMS performs the message hearing function(S206). If the mobile communication terminal subscriber does not select the message hearing function menu, the VMS transmits the voice mail box function menu to the mobile communication terminal and displays the voice mail box function menu(S207). The mobile communication terminal subscriber selects an external connection possibility/impossibility from the displayed voice mail box function menu(S208). An other mobile communication terminal user inputs a voice mail box connection request number using a user's own mobile communication terminal, pushes a call button, and requests the voice mail box connection to the VMS(S209). The VMS responds to the voice mail box connection request from the mobile communication terminal of the user, and transmits a message for inputting a telephone number of the corresponding mobile communication terminal to the mobile communication terminal(S210). The user inputs the telephone number of the mobile communication terminal using the mobile communication terminal and transmits the telephone number to the VMS(S211).
