PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reregister only application codes having a legal certificate among already registered applications. SOLUTION: In an IC card including an IC chip provided with a rewritable nonvolatile memory and an arithmetic unit while a plurality of application can be mounted on the nonvolatile memory, a registration certificate needed in loading an application is held in the nonvolatile memory, and when an application code is updated, a reregistration certificate is loaded to the IC card, and the arithmetic unit collates the held registration certificate with the reregistration certificate and subsequently reregisters a code to store the reregistration certificate. |
