PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system and a settlement method by factoring of transactions and overdraft facility among corporations in an electronic commerce market such as that of petrochemical products. SOLUTION: A system manager information system in the settlement system comprises an electronic commerce means, a transaction contents confirming means, a certificate means which transmits instructions to present a certificate of sale and a certificate of buy-in, a settlement method selecting means, a factoring means which requests purchase of credit receivable in factoring being agreed upon, an overdraft facility means which requests an overdraft facility in factoring not being agreed upon, a payment notification means which receives a payment notification to the effect that payment for a credit receivable has been made from an account of the factoring firm to an account of the manager of the system in factoring and receives a payment notification to the effect that an overdraft has been made to the account of the manager of the system for the overdraft and a transfer instruction means which gives instructions for a transfer of an amount equivalent to the amount of sale to be made from the account of the manager of the system to the account of the seller. |
