<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image read method and device, which employs an image sensor that records image information as an electrostatic latent image and generates a current, in response to the electrostatic latent image by being scanned with a reading purpose electromagnetic wave, that can enhance the read efficiency through the reading of the image with a proper power of the read-purpose electromagnetic waves. SOLUTION: The image reading device of records a solid image whose density is uniform, by emitting uniform radiant rays to the image sensor 10, uses a reading light emission means 20 to apply scanning and exposure to the image sensor, while changing the power of the reading light, obtains a relation between the luminous quantity of the read light and the read efficiency, sets the read luminous quantity, when the read efficiency reaches 90% of the maximum efficiency to a control means of a control printed circuit board 80 and controls a current flowing through a light source 101 of the reading light emission means 20, according to the set reading luminous quantity.</p> |
