PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flow rate measured without being affected by noise. SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic flowmeter, a detection signal detected by a detecting electrode is differentiated by time, and an area of waveform is obtained in a range of a waveform obtained from the differentiation in which the differential noise is not contained, and a magnetic field generated by exciting current for obtaining the flow rate to be measured is applied to fluid to be measured on the basis of such relation that the area is proportional to the flow rate to be measured, and a flow rate signal occurring in relation to the flow rate to be measured is detected by the detecting electrode.
