Optical signal transmitter for fiber optic having a laser (1) and electro absorption modulator EAM (2). After the EAM modulator is a Mach-Zehnder modulator (3) controlled by a specific clock driver (7) which ensures the elimination, for each resulting signal pulse, of a signal part in a time range (t1) including the rising front and a time range (t2) including the descending front. The EAM modulator is modulated in NRZ format. The Mach-Zehnder modulator is modulated by a specific clock in RZ format. The clock (7) is adjusted in the time period of each pulse and is centered in the time period. The time ranges (t1,t2) are equal.
