PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an annular continuous rib provided on a surface of a lip in order to suppress abnormal noise during sliding of a rod and the lip makes sliding resistance larger. SOLUTION: In a seal member 22, mutually independent ribs 36 are provided on the surface of the lip 24 so as to elongate in the peripheral direction of the lip 24. The ribs 36 make a plurality of alternate rows 33, 34, 35. Generation of abnormal noise is suppressed by avoiding contact of the lip 24 with the rod 7 in a wide area. In a pulling stroke of the rod 7, sliding resistance is reduced because oil in the air side is dragged up to the ridge 30 of the lip 24 passing through a gap between the ribs 36, 36. |
