PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optimal loading of a printer driver corresponding to the situation of individual printers and client computers without the intervention of a user. SOLUTION: A printer 2 collects its own printer information and sends it to a client computer 1, which prepares a driver download request by using sent printer information, its own hardware information and user-designated information at need and sends it to a printer driver server 3. When receiving the download request, the printer driver server 3 prepares a printer driver corresponding to the printer 2 and sends the printer driver and a printer driver file corresponding to it to the client computer 1. The client computer 1 sends printing data which can be processed by the printer to the printer 2 by the sent printer driver and a printer driver profile. |
