PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a service life of a vibration wave motor by preventing partial wear of a friction member in an elastic body (vibration body) to be connected to a moving member. SOLUTION: Booster parts 102, 103 generate a plurality of alternative signals having different phases based on a plurality of pulse signals having different phases to be generated by a pulse generating part 101 and impresses the alternative signals to piezoelectric elements in the vibration wave motor 106. While, detection parts 107, 108 detect each peak voltage of the plurality of alternative signals, a comparison unit 109 compares each detected peak voltage and the power voltage to be supplied to the booster part 103 by a variable power supply part 105 is controlled based on the compared result so that the differences of the respective peak voltages become equal. |
