PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which sticking of soiling such as toner to recording material from a fixing body or a press body can be reduced during image formation after the recording material is retained within a fixing device, wherein improvement of separating ability of the recording material from the fixing body or the press body after fixing can be achieved. SOLUTION: When recording sheet for image formation is retained in the fixing device, a recording sheet to clean the surface of a fixing roll 1 or a press roll 2 is fed between the fixing roll 1 and the press roll 2 by a transporting mechanism 5 after the recording sheet is removed from the fixing device. |
