PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup element with antireflection effect and the effects of preventing noise, flare and smear using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup element 100 is obtained by disposing a microlens 70 for which an undercoat layer 61, a light-absorbing layer 63 and a porous layer 72 on a resin lens 71 are formed and a transparent substrate 81, for which an antireflection film 82b is formed via a space 90 on the microlens 70 to an image pickup element substrate 50 for which a photoelectric conversion element 21, a light-shielding part 31, a planarization layer 41, a color filter 51 and the planarizing layer 42 are formed on a semiconductor substrate 11. Since the porous layer 72 is formed on the resin lens 71 for the microlens 70, incident light is prevented from being reflected from the surface of the microlens 70.
