PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a dye sensitizing solar battery and an opposite electrode of the same, which is advantageous for reducing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the opposite electrode of the dye sensitizing solar battery is as follows. The conductive layer 11 of a first board 1 is connected to the negative electrode 7a of a power source 7, and a counterpart electrode 3 is connected to the positive electrode 7c of the power source 7, where the first board 12, on which the conductive layer 11 is laminated, and the counterpart electrode 3 are soaked in a platinum solution 2. In this state, an electroplating is carried out in such a way that a voltage is applied across the conductive layer 11 and the counterpart electrode 3 so that the potential of the conductive layer 11 of the first board 12 is kept within a range of minus 0.2 to minus 0.85 volt when the potential of the counterpart electrode 3 is assumed to be zero. This process results in a formation of a number of fine platinum grains dispersed and supported on the surface of the conductive layer 11. |
