PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect a gas leak through a temperature correction to a detected pressure without adding parts by detecting a temperature with the use of ultrasonic vibrators used as a flow rate sensor. SOLUTION: A flow rate of a gas to be measured which passes a gas pipe 52 is measured with the utilization of a pair of ultrasonic vibrators 5a and 5b arranged to the gas pipe 52. At the same time, a pressure in the gas pipe 52 is detected by a pressure sensor 4. The gas leak detection is carried out on the basis of the detected result. At a gas meter which executes processing abnormalities related to the gas leak detection when the leak is detected, the temperature of a point where the flow rate is measured is calculated on the basis of an ultrasonic wave arrival time between the ultrasonic vibrators 5a and 5b, and the pressure detected by the pressure sensor 4 is corrected with the utilization of the calculated temperature to carry out the gas leak detection.
