PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet seat and a sanitary washing apparatus, which have great deodorizing capacity. SOLUTION: An odor, which is generated in a toilet bowl, is sucked into the toilet seat 1 from an inlet 6 by an intake means 7 and removed by a deodorant 5 which is arranged inside the toilet seat 1. A sufficient space exists inside the toilet seat 1, so as to be capable of housing the deodorant 5 of a volume required to remove the odor adequately.
