PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which can provide a new use of the device with an ultraviolet lamp. SOLUTION: The lighting device A1 comprises a first visible-light lamp 32, a ultraviolet lamp 34 and a second visible-light lamp 36 that are covered with a cover 20. There is a shielded part 22 in the cover 20 and a fluorescent substance 60 is prepared inside the cover 20 under the shielded part 22. The first and second visible-light lamps 32 and 36 are lit when the light is used as a usual light, while the ultraviolet lamp 34 and the second visible-light lamp 36 are lit when the light is used as a decorative light. A phosphor 70 is also prepared on a base 12 of the device and emits light when the ultraviolet lamp 34 is lit.
