PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dividing/connecting device for an excavator which can carry out dividing/connecting work of a casing and an auger screw without using heavy equipment, and further can carry out the work in a short period of time, and to provide a method for assembling the excavator and a method for dividing the excavator. SOLUTION: The excavator has the cylindrical casing and the auger arranged in the casing. The casing is formed of a plurality of divided casing sections which are axially connected to each other in a detachable manner, and the auger is also formed of a plurality of divided auger sections which are axially connected to each other in a detachable manner. The dividing/connecting device is for use in connecting/dividing the divided casing sections to/from each other, and the divided auger sections to/from each other. The dividing/connecting device is comprised of a first jig portion which holds each divided casing section and each divided auger section arranged in the corresponding divided casing section so as not to be movable with respect to each other, and a second jig portion which holds the two divided casing sections to be connected together in a mutually separate state along the same axis.
