933,667. Transistor switching circuits. UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION. Oct. 2, 1961 [Oct. 28, 1960], No. 35467/61. Class 40 (6). A loading circuit for a common emitter orientated control transistor comprises a switching transistor of opposite conductivity type to the control transistor, having its emitter connected to the emitter of the control transistor, and its base connected to earth, and a load consisting of a power supply and an impedance serially connected to the collector of the switching transistor, the load being connected to the control transistor only through the switching transistor. The outputs from a bistable circuit 11 comprising NPN transistors 12, 12<SP>1</SP> are taken from the emitter circuits of the transistors via common base connected PNP transistors, e.g. 24. When transistor 12 is conductive its emitter current switches on transistor 24 making the output at terminal 27 substantially earth. The output may be used to operate a device, such as a neon, for indicating the state of the bi-stable circuit. |
