Diagnosis and prognosis of Parkinson's disease, by detecting simultaneous presence of a CYP2D6-B mutations and deletion of GSTM1, both homozygous

Diagnosis and prognosis of Parkinson's disease comprises detecting, in one or more stages, simultaneous or not, the co-presence of the homozygous mutation CYP2D6-B and the homozygous deletion of the GSTM1 gene (for glutathione-S-transferase), is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a kit for the new method; (2) transgenic animals, stem cell lines, and their differentiation products, in which the genome includes at least one inserted, exogenous, DNA sequence containing the homozygous mutation CYP2D6-B and having the GSTM1 gene deleted; (3) method for preparing the animals and cells of (2); and (4) cells from the animals of (2).
