Pressure sensor with a base body (3) and a pressure sensitive element (1) mounted on the base body. The latter has an electromagnetic transducer that converts a pressure dependent change in the sensitive element to an electrical signal that is transmitted over an electrical connection (13). A mounting (17) for the base body and pressure element is made from glass and enclosed contact pins for the electrical connections. Lastly a housing (19) encloses the mounting. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for manufacturing an inventive pressure sensor.
