The device for the packing of asparagus or similar stick-like products has a conveyor belt with a number of transporting yokes for the goods, a first station for the insertion of a packing material in the yokes, and a transfer station for introducing the goods into the laid out packing material. The device has a paper dispenser and a cutting device for the cutting to size of the packing material. The device also has stations for folding the packing material around the goods and a gluing station for applying a film of adhesive to the packing material.
