An input unit with switch performing a switch operation preferentially, comprising a lever member (1) provided with a strain resistor element (35), a switch (66) having a movable contact (63) and a fixed contact (61), a first operating part (2) for operating the lever member, a second operating part (4) for operating the switch, and a return sprig (5) for urging the second operating part in one direction. At the time of nonoperation, the second operating part is projected outward from a part of the first operating part by resilient force of the return spring. At the time of operation, the second operating part is pushed into the first operating part by the finger of an operator and only the first operating part can be operated by the finger of the operator.
