PURPOSE: To effectively collect and discharge landfill leachate by installing flow equalization tank not management area but below landfill area, thus reducing plottage occupied by flow equalization tank. CONSTITUTION: Landfill leachate is directly drained into a flow equalization tank(10) installed below landfill area. A leachate drain well(14) that is communicated with the flow equalization tank via a leachate drain pipe(26) is installed outside the landfill area so that landfill leachate is discharged to the outside by natural flow. Also, the flow equalization tank is communicated with an air injection well(16) via air pipes(28).
