<p>The invention is a tool to be struck (Fig. 1), or a striking tool, or a cap (Fig. 4, 6, 8), that will not suffer metal spall and the attendant dangers o f spalling and flying or cutting metal slivers. The preferred mode is on a chisel. The chisel would have a striking end cut square to the shaft. Other tools such as jackhammers, wedges, spikes, hammers, mallets would benefit fr om the invention.</p> |
