The demolition machine has a transporting device (2) mounted on top of the wall to be demolished and movable along it. Means are provided to support the transporting device on the wall and are brought into engagement with the sides of the wall. The transporting device has a support frame (25) and at least one surface-bearing element (26,27). The support frame supports the surface bearing elements, with at least one surface-bearing element sitting on the top of the wall and movable along it. The demolition tool (3) can be a cable saw. Independent claims are included for a procedure for the demolishing of especially walls, and for a use for the demolition machine which is to demolish walls.
