The invention relates to devices (50, 100) and to a method for encasing conductor tracks, particularly for insulating stator windings of rotating electrical machines. According to the invention, an extruder head (50) is provided for use in a device used for encasing a conductor or a conductor track (72), which has at least one extruder nozzle (56) that, on one side, is connected to a supply line (58) for supplying the encasing material. On the other side, the extruder nozzle (56) discharges into an area against which, during operation, the conductor to be encased or the conductor track to be encased abut. In addition, the outlet of the extruder nozzle (56) can be closed by means of a closure (57).
