The stripping device for a conveyor belt (2) has a stripper (3) consisting of a number of sections of hard material which are located side by side at right angles to transporting direction (R) of the conveyor belt. The stripper sections have in a section perpendicular to the transporting direction a rectangular shape. A number of stripper sections are installed on a support module, and a number of support modules are installed on a support rail.
