A temperature sensitive element (43) within a timepiece which includes a casing (11), movement and mainspring (15), and bi-directional rotation to unidirectional rotation converting mechanism (14) for winding the mainspring where the temperature sensitive element tens to angularly deflect with change in temperature and such change produces energy to wind the mainspring.
