PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to prevent or suppress growth and propagation of bacteria or germs. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator(1) includes a refrigerator main body(3) forming a refrigerating compartment; peltier elements(21a,21b) cooling the refrigerating compartment of the refrigerator main body; and an electric current control part controlling power supply to the peltier elements to keep temperature in the refrigerating compartment between -2 deg.C and 2 deg.C. Temperature in the refrigerating compartment is kept appropriate for storing meat for a long time thereby. The refrigerator is conveniently carried and moved.
