PURPOSE: A therapeutic agent for asthma containing simultaneously an extract of ginkgo nut and walnut is provided which has a synergic therapeutic effect on asthma. CONSTITUTION: A ginkgo nut and walnut are extracted in alcohol or an organic solvent selected from the group consisting of hexane, ether, ethyl acetate, chloroform and alcohol. The oral administration of an extract of ginkgo nut and walnut in an amount of 0.1mg/ml into a patient who is suffering from asthma two times per a day for 5 days offers a good treating action on asthma.
