PURPOSE: A photocatalytic deodorization filter for air cleaner using plastic optical fibers is provided, which use as supporter plastic photo fiber which is cheap and easy to handle, and activate the photocatalyst by using light transmitted into the photo fiber so that it can increase the utilizing rate of the catalyst thus enhancing the decomposing ratio greatly. CONSTITUTION: The photocatalytic deodorization filter comprises a frame(30); photo fiber bundle filter parts(20) removably fixed to the frame(30) at the both sides of the ultra violet lamp, in the core of which a plural photo fiber, coated with photocatalyst and dried at temperature of less than 80 deg.C, are fixed; plastic optical fiber part(10) installed at the center or both sides of the frame(30) and composed of light source of ultra violet lamp, wherein sheath part has functional group of CH3CR wherein R is polar element and being removed by dipping into a solution that does not damage to the core of the plastic optical fiber.
