PURPOSE: An apparatus for forcibly ejecting a tray is provided to forcibly eject the tray being inserted into a player when driving power for ejecting the tray is not applied to the tray. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for forcibly ejecting a tray includes a tray on which a disc is mounted, and a motor(30) for driving the tray to allow the tray to reach a disc cartridge and separated from the disc cartridge. The apparatus further includes a driver for driving forward and backward the motor to insert and eject the tray according to a user's choice, and an ejection unit(60) that operates independently from the driver and drives the motor to eject the tray from the disc cartridge according to a user's choice. The ejection unit includes a switch(40) for switching supply of external power to the motor, and a power supply circuit for biasing power supplied to the motor through the switch so as to drive the motor in one direction.
