VARIABLE OPTICAL ATTENUATOR

PURPOSE: A variable optical attenuator is provided to prevent an attenuation amount from being changed according to a wavelength by making a straight-line motion to a fine mirror for reflecting an optical signal of a transmission optical fiber to a receive optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A transmission optical fiber(71) outputs an optical signal through an output part(72). A receive optical fiber(75) is placed vertically to the transmission optical fiber(71), and receives an optical signal through an input part(76). A reflection surface(74) makes an optical signal from the output part(72) of the transmission optical fiber(71) be entered to the input part(76) of the receive optical fiber(75). A mirror(73) attenuates an optical signal so that a part of the optical signal from the transmission optical fiber(71) enters the receive optical fiber(75).
