Apparatus for embedding a connector (15, 16) in a rotary molded plastic tank (10) comprises a holder (24) for the connector which fits over a flange (29) on an annular plate (23). The plate has an inner flange (28) which fits against a flange (32) on the mold (20) surrounding the aperture in which the connector is inserted. Independent claims are included for: (a) a method for embedding a connector in a rotary molded plastic tank using the apparatus and in which an insulating component (25) is positioned between the holder, the connector and the disk, the inner end of the connector is closed by a cap (31) and the tank is formed by rotary molding while heating; and (b) a rotary molded tank with a connector which passes through its wall and has a connecting bead (17) positioned where it passes through the tank wall (21).
