A blood vessel connecting instrument wherein connection of blood vessels to each other can be realized readily, securely and quickly is provided. A blood vessel connecting instrument 1 for connecting an end portion of a second blood vessel 200 to a side portion of a first blood vessel 100 is provided with a plurality of engaging members 2 constituted by a linear body, a pair of holding members 3, a ring-shaped fastening member 4, a pressing member 5 for pressing and moving the fastening member 4, a blood vessel supporting member 6 supporting the second blood vessel 200, and a receiving member 7 being attached to the second blood vessel 200. An engaging portion 21 is formed on the distal end of each engaging member 2 by bending the linear body substantially at right angles. A peripheral portion 102 of an opening 101 of the first blood vessel 100 can be clipped between the engaging portions 21 and distal end surfaces 32 of the holding members 3. <IMAGE> |
