The fastening or bearing system has a shaft (1) which engages in a blind bore (3) in a housing (4). It has a spiral groove (2) which allows escape perforation trapped air from the space at the inner end of the blind bore. A circumferential groove divides the innermost end of the shaft (A) from the next cylindrical region (B). A shoulder leads to a larger diameter toothed or knurled region (E) which remains outside the bore in the housing.
