PURPOSE: A method for storing a text message in a mobile communication cellular phone is provided to store a text message in a cellular phone for automatically storing the message when a call request is generated while writing the message, thereby continuously writing the message after talking over the phone. CONSTITUTION: A call request is inputted while writing a text message, and when a user selects a 'call' button, written characters are temporarily stored in a cellular phone memory, then a call is connected(S1,S2,S3,S4). When the user selects a text message function again, the stored characters are read to be outputted on a message writing window(S5,S6). When the user transmits the written message, the stored characters are deleted. If the message is completely written without transmitting the message, the stored characters are kept. When the written characters are deleted by transmitting the message, a new message writing window is displayed(S7,S8).
