PURPOSE: To provide a device for trimming sheet glass, capable of shaping the peripheral edge of a sheet glass, that is, carrying out trimming for removing the peripheral edges thereof, and capable of carrying and disposing removed edges. CONSTITUTION: The device for trimming sheet glass is provided with a conveyer 2 for carrying a sheet glass G, a cutting mechanism comprising cutting members 3-6 arranged in the vicinity of the front and back ends and right and left ends of the conveyer 2, respectively, and supporting members 7-10, positioning devices 23-26 for the sheet glass arranged in the vicinity of the front and back ends and right and left ends of the conveyer 2, respectively. The cutting members, which has a pressing part for pressing the sheet glass and a first end surface intersecting the pressing part, is made ascendably/descendably drivable. The supporting member capable of ascendably/descendably driving is arranged parallel with the first end surface of the cutting part and has a second end surface which is horizontally set apart from the first end surface. The first end surface of the cutting member is provided with a first sucking member facing the second end surface of the supporting member, and the pressing part forms a second sucking part. |
