he invention relates to a method for adjusting the changing positions of an articulated bed or seat by means of the weight of the human body. It is composed of three or several articulated frames (1,2,3) receiving the mattress, which should be flexible and composed of three separate parts. Furthermore, said invention consists of a mechanism composed of two rods (4,5) moving in parallel or non-parallel disposition with the help of two plates (6,7). Same rods are connected with each plate (6,7) by means of articulations (8a, 8b, 9a, 9b) and each plate is fixed on the framework of the bed (10). In case that a longitudinal notch replaces the hole of the articulations (9a, or / and 9b), the rod (5) does not move in parallel relationship to therod (4). The bed is liable to take different shapes, by tightening or release of the brakes encountered on any articulations. In similar manner, the invention allows the manufacture of a 2-seat armchair convertible into bed, or a multi-seated sofa convertible into a large bed.
