PURPOSE: An Internet time capsule service system and method is provided to hand down information or insurance, which a user wants to leave for his descendants after a predetermined period. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of clients(10-1-10-n), connected to Internet(12), receives time capsule services. A plurality of web browsers(11-1-11-n) receives time capsule services from a time capsule service unit(16) through the Internet(12) and provides them to the clients(10-1-10-n). A router unit(13) transfers the data inputted and outputted through the Internet(12) to the data's destination. A web server(14) reads time capsule service data from the time capsule service unit(16) and provides the data to the clients(10-1-10-n). The time capsule service unit(16) stores time capsule service data and provides the data to the web server(14). A CGI unit(15) provides an interface between the web server(14) and the time capsule service unit(16). A firewall server(17) protects an undesired packet from being transferred through a network. A connection network(20) connects the time capsule service unit(16) with an electronic commerce unit(18), composed of an electronic payment server unit(18-1), an electronic authentication server unit(18-2), an electronic coin server unit(18-3) and an electronic document server unit(18-4), and provides a settlement unit after offering Internet time capsule services.
