PURPOSE: A method for automatically retrieving electronic mail information is provided to enable a user to receive a mail text with a received E-mail list by inputting an account and a password for checking an E-mail without accessing to an Internet site for supplying a web mail service for checking the E-mail. CONSTITUTION: An E-mail server name corresponded to each E-mail account is searched in a self-DB using at least one E-mail account and a password corresponded thereto(S105-S115). If the E-mail server name does not exist, an IP address of the corresponding E-mail server is searched through a predetermined DNS(Domain Name Server) search module based on the E-mail account(S120,S125). If the E-mail server name exists, in the case that the IP address is searched, a corresponding E-mail server is connected using a corresponding E-mail account and a password corresponded thereto(S140). An E-mail list corresponded to the E-mail account is requested to the E-mail server. An E-mail list adapted to a user is created and the created E-mail list is displayed to the user. It is checked whether a title out of the displayed list is selected by the user. If a title is selected, a corresponding mail text is requested to the E-mail server. A mail text adapted to the user is created in accordance with a receipt of the mail text, and the created mail text is displayed.
