PURPOSE: A slab clamping device is provided which prevents deformation and damage of a slab and efficiently performs continuous casting operation by firmly fixing both corners of the slab during transferring of the slab so that the clamping device is always accurately moved along with the slab, thereby enabling accurate cutting of the slab. CONSTITUTION: In a slab clamping device which is mounted on a torch cutting apparatus(100) for cutting a slab (S) to fix the torch cutting apparatus(100) to the slab (S), the slab clamping device for the torch cutting apparatus is characterized in that a plural clamping members(10a,10b) are mounted on the rear part of the upper side of a transfer car so that the clamping members(10a,10b) are rotated through a bracket(5), the clamping members(10a,10b) are formed in a crossing structure, a cylinder(30) is mounted on the upper part of the clamping members(10a,10b) so that the lower part of the clamping members(10a,10b) is slidingly contacted with both surfaces of the slab (S) by operation of the cylinder(30), thereby fixing the torch cutting apparatus(100) to the slab (S), wherein the clamping members(10a,10b) comprise a plural flange parts the upper parts of which are oppositely directed to each other, and a rod of the cylinder(30) and an insertion plate formed at the rear of a body(34) are inserted between the flange parts so that the rod of the cylinder(30) and the insertion plate are rotationally connected to the flange parts by a pin and a snap ring.
