PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition simultaneously containing a Plantaginis semen powder having swelling action and a plum extract powder having functions to provide regularity of bowel movement is provided. Because the composition is easily soluble in water and an offensive smell and taste of Plantaginis semen are compensated by the taste and flavor of plum extract powder, it is convenient for a patient to take. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition contains a Plantaginis semen powder having a purity of 90% or more and a prune extract powder in a ratio of 80 to 95:5 to 20. For an example, 6g Plantaginis semen powder(Satpal Swatantra and Sons Co.) is dissolved in 240ml water in a Vortex mixer and mixed with plum extract powder.
