PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily separating a solder and oxide from a dross, reducing economical loss incurred when conventionally discarding the dross formed in a jet soldering bath and containing large quantities of molten solder, and also to provide an oxide separating tool. SOLUTION: This separating tool has large number of holes punched at the upper part of the main body, and has an elongated grip at the upper part thereof. In this separating method, the separating tool is dipped into the molten solder together with dross, and is oscillated in the molten solder. The molten solder heats the dross so that the solder in the dross is separated at elevated temperatures. The dross is fractionated by the oscillation so that the solder in the dross is further easily separated. The separating effect is further enhanced when a flux component for soldering like a saccharide such as sesame, rice bran, and wheat bran, or like a resin, an ammonium chloride is scattered over the dross and is dipped into the molten solder with the separating tool.
