PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent printing irregularities resulting from irregularities of ink discharge characteristics of ink nozzles because of a pressure interference by surely preventing the pressure interference between ink nozzles of an ink jet head. SOLUTION: A common ink chamber 10 of the ink jet head 1 is provided with a pressure interference-preventing part 22 for preventing the pressure interference between ink nozzles by damping a pressure change of the common ink chamber 10. The pressure interference-preventing part 22 is constituted of an elastically deformable diaphragm 22A formed to a nozzle plate 2 and a vibration-damping substance 22B comprised of a silicone adhesive of a gel type applied to a surface of the diaphragm. Since the diaphragm 22A is refrained from vibration by the vibration-damping substance 22B, the pressure change of the common ink chamber can be surely dampened, so that the pressure interference between ink nozzles can be surely prevented.
