PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for taking off shoes, which has an engaging part, with which the counter of shoes is engaged, on a stick shape body via which a foot can be taken out easily. SOLUTION: This device for taking off shoes comprises a stick shape body 12 with prescribed length and an engaging part 18 which is placed on one open end part of the stick shape body 12 and allows the heel part of a wearing user to pass through and can prevent the counter of the shoe from passing through. When a user raises the foot in a condition the counter of the shoe is faced to just under the engaging art 18, the user's heel part can pass the engaging part 18, but the counter of the shoe is engaged by the engaging part 18 are prevented from passing through to take off the shoe.
