PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroponic apparatus with an simple constitution at a low production cost, causing no root rot because of supply of air to the roots of a plant, preventing disease and capable of easily reusing liquid manure. SOLUTION: This hydroponic apparatus is so designed that a hydroponic bed is set on the upper half part of a tank with an opened top, a root-proof sheet which passes water but no root is set on the lower surface of the hydroponic bed, and on the other hand, a plurality of projecting members are arranged on the lower half part of the tank so as to contact at least part of the projecting members with the reverse face of the root-proof sheet, a liquid layer in which the surplus of the liquid manure supplied to the hydroponic bed is retained on a level below a fixed level and a given air layer situated on the reverse face of the root-proof sheet are each set on a space formed between the projecting members and a water-absorbing sheet is set so as to be contacted with the contact surface of the liquid layer, the root-proof sheet and the projecting member. |
