PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding gun supporting device in which the welding gun is easily moved in a linear direction by its operator. SOLUTION: A rail 3 extending substantially in a horizontal direction is mounted on a mounting leg 2 provided standing on a floor F. A supporting body 4 is made enable to travel along the rail 3 by being supported by a wheel 5 rotatable on the rail 34. Base end parts of parallel links 6 are fixed to the supporting body 4, and one end 7b of a swing member 7 is so connected to a front end part of the parallel links 6 that the swing member can swing in a plane substantially orthogonal to the rail 3. A supporting shaft 9a is mounted on the front end of the swing member 7, and a welding gun G is fixed to a welding gun fixing part 9b mounted on the front end part of the supporting shaft 9a. An air cylinder 8 for imparting a reaction force corresponding to the weight of the parallel link 6 to the welding gun G is interposed between the supporting part 4a of the supporting body 4 and the supporting part 7a of the swing member 7.
