PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the whole distance travelability of a vehicle with a front underrun protector. SOLUTION: A bumper supporting device is composed of brackets 2 with its upper end portions tiltably pivoted to lower surfaces of front ends of right and left side rails 1, the brackets having corresponding stoppers 4 that are adapted to abut after the pivot on the lower surfaces of the rails' front ends to thereby stop backward turning of the brackets, a front underrun protector 5 supported tiltably by lower ends of the respective brackets 2, a front bumper 7 with its lower end portion attached integrally to the front end of the protector 5, links 8 each connecting the bumper 7 and the respective side rails tiltably to correct the attitude of the bumper, an actuator (air cylinder 9) to tilt the brackets 2 in the direction in which the bumper 7 is flipped up, and a locking means (an engaging element 10 and a locking device 11) that locks the bumper 7 in a normal attitude that the bumper assumes before the flip up.
