PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for generating an electrolytic water in which existence of a terminal for electric power supply doesn't obstruct reduction of an electrode interval, can dispose the electrode interval adjacently, enhances electrolysis efficiency, miniaturizes and is provided with an electrolytic cell having simple structure. SOLUTION: The electrolytic cell is provided with a cathode chamber 9, an anode chamber 10 and a diaphragm 8, which partitions between the cathode chamber 9 and the anode chamber 10. An electrode 6, which is disposed in the cathode chamber 9, and an electrode 7, which is disposed in the anode chamber 10, are provided opposite through the diaphragm 8. A rod-like terminal 5 for electric power supply is provided with being made connection with each of the electrodes 6, 7 and the central axis of the terminal 5 is positioned on the opposite side of the counter face between the electrode 6 and the electrode 7 against a center in a thickness direction of the electrodes 6, 7.
