PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify an antagonist to or an agonist for a therapeutically usable polypeptide for inhibiting or stimulating a human G-protein parathyroid hormone(PTH) receptor. SOLUTION: The human G-protein parathyroid hormone(PTH) receptor is expressed on the surface of a cell, the cell is contacted with a receptor ligand and a compound to be screened, and whether the secondary signal is generated from the interaction between the ligand and the receptor is determined; further, whether the compound to be screened is an agonist or antagonist is identified.
